What does the design tool produce?
You lay the array out on the roof, set orientation and pitch, and Radiant returns the annual yield using the MCS MGD003 methodology, including the MIS 3002 postcode zone lookup, so the figure reflects the actual location rather than a national average. From there you get self consumption, export, estimated savings and a payback period, all of which flow straight into the proposal without being re keyed.
How is a deal room different from a PDF proposal?
A PDF is sent once and then goes quiet. A deal room is a live branded page on your own identity that the buyer opens on their phone, and it can be updated after it is sent. You see when it was first opened, when it was reopened, how long was spent on it and what was downloaded, so you know whether the finance director has actually read the thing before you chase.
Can I control the numbers and the assumptions?
Yes. Price per kWp, degradation and the standing assumptions are yours to set, and they are stated on the proposal so the buyer can see what the figures rest on. The assumed customer electricity rate and assumed export rate describe the buyer's own supply rather than your pricing, so Radiant holds those as platform assumptions with a published effective date, and you may override them if you know your market better. Radiant never quietly tunes the underlying engine constants, which means the same inputs always produce the same numbers.
Does it work for commercial as well as domestic?
Both. Domestic proposals lean on the savings and payback story, while commercial ones bring in half hourly consumption, unit rate, the export picture and the funding route. The same design feeds both, so a change to the array is reflected everywhere at once.
